Tree Trimming - Clearance for Structures

Many times when trees are planted in your yard around your house you will under estimate the amount of clearance required once the tree reaches maturity.  Tree trimming, also known as structural pruning, is necessary for a few reasons.  Clearance for structures is primary.  Keeping tree limbs away from outdoor faucets, electrical boxes on the side of the house,  telephone line boxes and other necessary structures on the outside of the home.

Tree Trimming for Sidewalks & Roads

For trees adjacent to sidewalks and walk ways around the home it is important to make sure there is clearance for pedestrians to walk.   Many trees planted near the roadway of a home need to be trimmed regularly for cars that may be parked close to the curb or for traffic on the roadway near the home.

Trimming for Lines & Wire Clearance

A lot of newer homes have their electrical service brought into the home through underground conduit which are safely buried and out of harms way from overgrown trees.  Care should be taken when planting new trees near these underground conduits. However, old homes have the electric service to the home from overhead wires.  It is critical that tree trimming is performed regularly in order to keep plenty of clearance for the those electrical wires.

View Enhancement Tree Trimming

Windows provide a view to the scenery of your property.  Trimming trees in close proximity to windows, decks and patios is important for the aesthetic ambiance of your view from you home.  Tree trimming and pruning helps clear view obstructions near windows of the home.

Trimming for the health of the tree

Trees need moisture the absorb through the ground and their leaves.  They also need sunlight for photosynthesis to occur to enhance their own growth.  Tree trimming and pruning is critical for the health of the trees for those two reasons.  As well when strong winds occur around the trees less stress is put on the tree if it have been pruned and trimmed properly that would allow wind to pass through the tress lessening the horizontal stress put on the branches and trunks of the trees.

Tree Trimming is important for the health of the yard

The grass in your yard also needs moisture from the ground through their roots as well and sunlight for photosynthesis.  Trimming and pruning trees in your yard can afford the underlying grass to have access to more sunlight for the healthy growth of the yard.
